IT Software License & Vendor Risk Analyst

Role Description:

The primary responsibility of the IT Software License & Vendor Risk Analyst is to Develops, coordinates and provides Information technology (IT) services according to established goals. Manage IT initiatives, infrastructures and projects in all areas of business within our customers. Supports existing infrastructures, applications services and development of new solutions. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures for the correct execution of tasks and responsibilities. Support and enable the implementation of strategies set by upper management. Comply with regulations and follow approved methodologies, policies and procedures. Contribute to business and organization objectives performing with efficiency and integrity.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the Information Technology software licensing inventory to ensure compliance with contracting terms and conditions.
  • Captures, monitors, and reports on the status of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and contract renovation periods to proactively establish a robust software licensing management process.
  • Tracks and maintains the total number of allocated and available software licenses, tracks and identifies software that is becoming obsolete and notifies IT management when licenses and maintenance agreements need to be renewed or cancelled due to obsolescence or lack of vendor support.
  • Identifies risk of noncompliance with financial industry regulatory requirements including but not limited to the GLBA regulation.
  • Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employee is accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
  • Monitors project scope, schedule, costs, resources, quality and risk to ensure project activities/tasks are occurring as planned and any variances are identified.
  • Applies appropriate judgment to escalate to Project Manager, Service Delivery Team Lead, Service Delivery Manager or PMO Manager.
  • Analyzing the data as required to generate project documentation or reports for the project manager.
  • Captures risks and issues on projects and with project manager to develop risk management and issues management plans and to select and implement the most appropriate solution. Monitors issue and risk resolution.
  • Monitors project scope, schedule, costs, resources, quality and risk to ensure project activities/tasks are occurring as planned and any variances are identified.
  • Applies appropriate judgment to escalate to Project Manager, Service Delivery Team Lead, Service Delivery Manager or PMO Manager.

Skills Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the standards, procedures, policies and regulations applicable to work area.
  • Practical experience related to the management of medium-to large-scale projects, business requirements analysis and definition.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills in dealing with issues that are not readily defined or that conflict with available information.
  • Working knowledge of software licensing management and analytical applications and database tools.
  • Ability to organize and integrate large amounts of data.
  • Ability to summarize and present information in a concise and clear fashion.
  • Project Management methodology and standards.
  • Understanding of the software licensing management principles and practices.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio.

Education:

  • Business Administration with IT emphasis, Computer Science or Information Technology.
